What we do

What we do

The Nation’s largest volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low-income houses and communities.

Using donated labor, supplies, and building materials, we perform critical and strategic home repairs free of charge to those who can not afford the expense and are physically unable to do the work. We focus on safety and emergency repairs, home modifications for aging-in-place, veteran’s projects, and energy efficiency. We  encourage homeowners and their families to work alongside us so that everyone shares an investment in community pride, safety, and well being.

Some of our work is done by skilled volunteers and some by those with limited skills who have a desire to learn and to give. They are the heart of our organization, transforming the lives of those in need. Our teams make friends of strangers, set an example for positive change, and make lasting changes in our neighborhoods as we work to provide safe and healthy homes for everyone.

“Partnering with Rebuilding Together breaks down barriers and restores pride.  It involves the whole community and it directly benefits those in need.  It is a hands-on approach to change that fosters teamwork and lasting relationships, and it provides a personal sense of true accomplishment.”
